Recovering from an eating disorder can be difficult and feel hopeless. I want you to know that recovery is possible and sometimes it requires professional help. I believe that the right treatment team provides the best hope for successful recovery. It is not uncommon to include additional supports on your recovery journey, such as a dietitian, physician, support group, or treatment center. We will identify the best treatment plan together during our initial session so you have the best chance of success.
I work from a relational approach while providing tools and skills to navigate difficult emotions, thoughts, relationships, and situations. My goal is to help you understand what purpose the eating disorder serves, how it impacts your life and relationships, and how to make sustainable changes in line with your values. Therapy is intended to provide a space to practice new skills, explore underlying core beliefs, and identify ways to step out of your comfort zone. My hope for you is that you can develop a healthy relationship with your body and food.
